Have questions about digitizing old tapes, film, photos, audio, or other media? Here are answers to some of the questions I get asked most often.
What is your turnaround time?
My typical turnaround time is about 1–2 weeks. In many cases, shipping takes longer than it does for me to digitize your memories!
Unlike some of the large national companies with turnaround times measured in months, everything is handled locally and personally.
Do you charge for blank tapes?
No, I do not! If you include blank tapes, reels, or other media with nothing recorded on them, you will not be charged for those items.
You only pay for the media I’m actually able to digitize.
Do I have to organize anything beforehand?
Nope! Just box up your memories and I’ll take care of the rest.
I’ll organize and label your digital files when I put them onto your USB stick or hard drive, so you don’t need to sort everything before bringing it to me.
What types of media do you convert?
QC Digitize Me can convert many different types of older media, including:
VHS, VHS-C, and Betamax tapes
MiniDV, Hi8, Video8, and Digital8 tapes
8mm and Super 8 film reels
Printed photos and slides
Audio cassette tapes and vinyl records
DVDs, DVD-RWs, CDs, and floppy disks

Can I ship my items to you?
Absolutely! While I provide local drop-off and pickup in the Quad Cities, you can also ship your media to me.
Once everything has been digitized, I’ll ship your original media back along with your USB drive or hard drive containing the new digital files.
How will I view my files once they're digital?
Your converted files can be placed on a USB flash drive or external hard drive. Simply plug the drive into your computer or a compatible TV to watch, view, and share your memories.
